Why I Still Print

There is a different kind of attention that happens when a photograph becomes an object.

On a screen, an image is easy to pass through. On paper, it asks to be handled, placed, returned to. The pace changes. The photograph becomes part of a room, a drawer, a box, a wall, a life.

That is still the end point I think about while making pictures.

Even when most galleries are delivered digitally, I still think about photographs as objects people may live with. That perspective shapes how I edit wedding, engagement, and family photography so the images can hold up beyond the screen.
