The Borderguards are playing in a Calgary pub, and the crowd gives the frame its pressure: heads, hands, light, and movement all pushing toward the same center.
Live punk shows do not need clean photographs as much as honest ones. The blur, density, and rough light are part of the point.
Music photography works best when it remembers the room as much as the band. The sound is not visible, so the people have to carry it.
