Doberman Stare Down

A domestic reflection on a Doberman stare, stairwell shadow, and a narrow strip of indoor light.

The stare is doing most of the work.

The stairwell is dark, the light is narrow, and the Doberman stands in it with just enough presence to make the frame feel like a standoff.

I like domestic photographs that feel slightly theatrical without being staged. A hallway, a staircase, and a dog with a fixed gaze can make the whole house feel alert.

This is why I pay attention indoors. Good light and a strong gesture can be hiding in the most ordinary corner.
