Small Riders in the Meadow

Distance can make a scene feel private.
The riders are small, almost hidden by the scale of the meadow and trees. That smallness is the point. It lets the photograph feel observed rather than interrupted.
In documentary and landscape photography, I often prefer the frame that holds back a little. It gives the viewer space to enter the scene on their own.
