Mountainous Sunsets in Motion

Dark mountain ridges hold the bottom of the frame while the red light shifts behind them. Without that weight, the colour would be only spectacle. With it, the photograph has shape.
I like mountain sunsets when they feel unsettled. The light is beautiful, but the weather keeps it from becoming too clean.
In landscape photography, the strongest colour often needs something dark and solid to push against.
