Mr. ATM
A night street note on an ATM, red light, and the odd personality of small after-dark scenes.
After dark, even an ATM can become a character.
The red light gives the scene a small personality, part practical machine and part late-night face on the street. I like the humour in calling it Mr. ATM because the frame already feels slightly animated.
Night street photography often works through these odd transformations. Ordinary objects become more theatrical once the daylight leaves.
The trick is not to overstate it. Just notice the little strangeness and let the frame keep a straight face.
