Found Drawing on a Wall
Accidental marks on a California wall, odd humour, and the strange honesty of found pictures.

Found pictures have their own authorship.
Someone made a mark without thinking about galleries or permanence. It stayed long enough to be photographed. The result is not polished, but it is specific, and specificity can be more interesting than beauty.
The camera is good at saving things that were never trying to be saved.
Found marks can feel more human than anything carefully arranged. That is a useful reminder for documentary photography in Alberta: the imperfect, specific detail often says more than a polished backdrop.
