Hut on the Cliff
A travel reflection on cliffside shelter, stone steps, and a small room above blue water.

The hut looks both fragile and completely settled.
Stone, stairs, thatch, and water all pull in different directions, but the small structure holds them together. I like photographs where a human-made thing seems to have negotiated with the landscape.
In travel photography, buildings often matter most when they show how people have adapted to a place rather than simply occupied it.
