Resting Beef Face
A journal note on Alberta tallow skin care, small-batch work, and the useful honesty of something made close to home.

Some products make more sense when you see the work around them.
Resting Beef Face talks about tallow skincare as something simple and ingredient-focused: grass-fed Canadian tallow, Alberta-made, and built without long, performative ingredient lists. Even the Body by Beef shirt fits the point: the brand has a sense of humour, but the work behind it is direct and practical.
There is something very Alberta about packing the product, loading the bags, and taking the work directly to people. Practical, local, a little unfussy, and built around the idea that good things can come from ingredients close to home.
For Resting Beef Face, the photograph needed to feel clean without becoming clinical. The work was less about making skin care look precious and more about letting it feel useful, warm, and cared for.
