Comox makes a person feel properly small.
The tide line stretches across the frame, and the figure near the water gives the shore its scale. The photograph is quiet because the place is doing most of the speaking.
I like coastal images where the human presence does not dominate. It simply gives the landscape a point of relation.
Travel photography in British Columbia often works this way for me: water, weather, distance, and one small mark that lets the viewer feel the size of it.
