FamiliesWaterton, Alberta
Running at the Lake
A Waterton, Alberta reflection on lakeside movement, mountain air, and photographing childhood in open space.

Waterton gives the run a larger stage.
The lake, rocks, chairs, and mountains are all part of the frame, but the small moving figure gives the scene its pulse. The photograph feels open because the place is allowed to stay present.
I like photographing children this way, moving through real spaces instead of being held still against them.
For family photography in Alberta, location matters most when it becomes part of the memory. Waterton does that easily.
