Before the Session

What I hope people know before we meet in the field, in the studio, or at home.

You do not need to arrive already relaxed. Most people need a few minutes to find their way into being photographed.

My job is to make that first stretch feel easy: to give you somewhere to put your hands, something real to respond to, and enough quiet that the good expressions can surface on their own.

This is especially true for couples, engagement, and family photography, where ease matters more than performance. A good session in Calgary or elsewhere in Alberta should feel guided, but never forced into someone else’s idea of a photograph.
