Concrete Drift
A skateboarder cuts through Vancouver concrete, leaving the frame with city texture and a soft blur of movement.
Skateboarding gives concrete a different rhythm.
The city stays hard-edged in the background, but the body loosens the frame. A little blur, a bent knee, a board underfoot, and suddenly the photograph feels less like architecture and more like motion.
Movement makes public space feel human.
That is something I pay attention to in documentary photography and urban portrait work. Whether the setting is a Calgary street, a family session, or an engagement walk, the best frames often happen when people stop standing still for the camera.
