Mountain Town Corner

A bright street corner in Kaslo, British Columbia, where place and scale do most of the storytelling.

Small mountain town storefront with people riding past under a blue sky

A street corner can carry a whole afternoon.

The storefront, the mountain line, the small figures moving through the frame all work together without needing a central event. It is not a dramatic image, which is part of why it feels true.

Sometimes place is the subject, and people are the measure.

For Alberta photography, especially engagement sessions, family sessions, and documentary work, I pay attention to how a location gives scale to a story. The best settings do not overpower people; they make the memory feel grounded.
