Two Riders in Shade

The bike taxi moves at the pace of the street.

In Puerto Vallarta, bicitaxis and ciclotaxis have a different feeling than cars. They are practical, close to the ground, and slow enough for the day to stay visible around them.

I like the way the shade holds this frame. The riders move away, but the path, trees, and dust keep the photograph from becoming only about transit.

Travel photography often works best when it pays attention to how people actually move through a place. The in-between ride can say as much as the destination.
