Two People, One Frame
A note on closeness, quiet posture, and the small geometry of a couple.
A couple does not need to perform closeness for the camera.
Most of the time it is already there in smaller ways: how shoulders angle toward each other, how one person waits for the other to move, how silence feels less empty when they are standing together.
The work is to notice that geometry and keep from overexplaining it.
Couples photography works best when closeness is observed rather than staged. In Calgary engagement sessions or quiet Alberta locations, the small geometry between two people is usually enough.
