Abandoned Places
A reflection on abandoned places, empty lots, and the quiet evidence left in weathered spaces.

Abandoned places are rarely empty.
They hold marks, weeds, weather, old edges, and the feeling that people have passed through without fully disappearing. The empty lot becomes a record of use and neglect at the same time.
I am drawn to these places because they do not perform for the camera. They simply sit there, worn down and specific.
For documentary and personal photography, that kind of honesty matters. The photograph does not need to make the place beautiful. It needs to notice what remains.
