What Details Remember
A note on table edges, small objects, and the quiet evidence left around a day.
Details are not filler.
They are the small pieces of evidence that tell you how a day was handled: flowers set down between tasks, paper softening at the edge, a table that has already been used by real hands. These things may not carry the whole story, but they give the story texture.
I photograph details best when I treat them like evidence rather than decoration.
Details matter most when they reveal how a day felt, not just how it looked. In documentary wedding photography, I photograph them as part of the emotional record rather than as decoration.
