Keeping the Day Human

The camera can easily make a day feel like a production if it is handled without care.

I try to work with enough structure that nobody feels lost, and enough patience that the day still belongs to the people living it. The point is not to interrupt everything into photographs. The point is to make photographs that remember what it felt like to be there.

That balance is the work.

This is central to how I approach wedding photography in Calgary and across Alberta. The photographs should support the day, not turn it into a performance for the camera.
